Now’s your chance to adopt an incredibly special, satellite tagged male scalloped hammerhead! There are photographs and a video of this shark!
The reason for this generous discount is due to the price of the tag being covered with the adoption simply contributing towards equipment and fishing costs.
About this shark
This is an adult male scalloped hammerhead and was caught and tagged in February 2026 during our winter, Florida shark tagging expedition.
About this adoption
Your shark was fitted with a 9 month- 1 year Satellite tag! This tag records and stores water temperature and transmits to Argos satellites each time the shark surfaces giving us a location. On adoption we’ll provide all details of your shark including the sex, measurements and rough information on your sharks location/s, however we are unable to share all data or location points.
In exchange for this adoption donation, you will have the privilege of naming him, you’ll receive an electronic adoption certificate, and we’ll excitedly reach out to you with regular updates as your shark surfaces (which provides us with his latest movements/location!).
General Information
Hammerheads are arguably one of the world’s most charismatic shark species. These endangered sharks demand attention in the water with their captivating, powerful presence, so, if you’re looking for a big, beautiful, and bold shark to adopt, hammerheads are the ones for you!
There are photographs of your adopted shark, however they are during the tagging process. See pictures on this page. A video will also be provided.
Your adoption certificate will be sent as a PDF to your email address
