Accommodation - The Andros Island Bonefish Club
Where will you stay and what will you eat?
History
Saving the Blue has been visiting Andros Island, The Bahamas, and staying at the Andros Island Bonefish Club (the lodge) since 2018. Over the years the team has build a fantastic relationship with all who work and stay at the lodge. We consider it our second home.
LOCATION
The lodge is located in Behring Point Settlement, Cargill Creek, Andros.
In Short
The lodge is basic but comfortable. You will share a room with another guest, breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and our boat is docked on the property.
Andros Island Bonefish Club
The Andros Island Bonefish Club is made up of three buildings with a total of 12 rooms inside. During your stay you will be given keys to a room which you will share with another guest of the same sex. You may request a private room for an additional charge of $250 for the duration of your trip, however this is not guaranteed, especially during the busy winter months. Each room has two queen beds, a shower, toilet and sink. The lodge provides all main meals for our guests, and serve a variety of traditional Bahamian dishes in addition to some popular home comforts. Seafood is fresh, locally sourced from Andros and the lodge accommodates most dietary preferences. All guests receive breakfast, lunch and dinner which is included in our expedition price.
amenities
Air-conditioning throughout - Wi-fi (although please note this can be intermittent) - Enclosed dining room and outside bar to eat and drink - Dockage for easy access to daily boat trips - Scenic location surrounded by mangroves and trees.
Breakfast
At the lodge dining area typically between 6:30-7.30am
Each day, guests have the choice of freshly-made breakfast eggs (scrambled, fried, or an omelet) to-order, cereals, toast (including french toast), fresh fruit, yogurt, and more; orange juice, milk, tea or coffee are also available to compliment your meal.
Lunch
At the lodge or in the field on the go between 12-2pm
We typically eat lunch on the go during an activity, or journeying around the island away from our base at the lodge. On those days we'll plan a pack-lunch to eat on the boat which usually includes a sandwich, bag of chips and a fruit item. We almost always eat lunch on the boat, however in the summer months we occasionally eat lunch at the lodge during the hottest part of the day between 12-2pm.
Dinner
At the lodge typically between 6-7.30pm
Dinner at the lodge is always a popular feast! Every meal starts with a fresh salad, or soup, partnered with hot Andros Jonny bread. Main dishes often include locally sourced and sustainable seafood such as fish, or lobster. The lodge also offers chicken, pork, meatloaf and occasionally steak, accompanied by rice or potatoes, and always with fresh vegetables or coleslaw. As Andros successfully grows fruit and vegetables all year round vegetarian options are plentiful too. Typically the lodge offers a vegetarian twist on whatever meat is served that night, so all guests are offered similar meals, but with a choice of protein. Lastly, dinner is finished with a piece of homemade cake, pie, or tasty ice-cream.
Dietary Restrictions
We pride ourselves on accommodating all preferences, allergies or restrictions. Vegetarian? Vegan? Lactose Intolerance? We’ll accommodate your needs.

Guests are offered tea, coffee, orange juice, milk or water inclusive of their expedition fee, however soda, beer or wine can be purchased at local cost. The lodge offers an honesty scheme where guests mark their drink purchases each day, and settle their bills at the end of the week. Soda’s are typically $2, beer’s are $6. Please bring a reusable water bottle with you.
