About this shark

This shark was caught in Jupiter, Florida, United States, and is the beautiful animal in the images featured.

About this adoption

This shark is female, measures a precaudal length of 189cm, and was fitted with a PIT tag; this type of tag does not transmit signals, but is scanned by researchers during a recapture, just like the tags used in pets. We’ll only get further information on this shark if we or other scientists catch it again. In exchange for this adoption donation, you will have the privilege of naming her, you will receive an adoption certificate, and if we recapture your shark, we will excitedly be in touch with an update!

General Information

Tiger sharks are truly stunning animals. When they are juveniles, their distinctive tiger stripes are crisp and vivid. As they mature, the pigment fades to become more of a hazy shimmer. Known for their size and fearsome appearance, they’ve been misjudged over the years, but tiger sharks are smart, charismatic, and full of personality! If you’re looking to adopt a true apex predator, a tiger shark is the one for you.

On adoption we’ll provide rough information on your shark’s location/s, however we will not be able to share exact data or location points.

** Your adoption certificate will be sent as a PDF to your email address **
